from
Bug Bite in Belize

Visiting the Tropics often includes bug bites. The locals, while still getting bit, have developed an immunity to the bugs. You, a visitor, have no immunity to the bug bites.

These mixtures help repel and reduce the frequency of insect bites and also helps sooth and relieve the itching and swelling caused by those bug bites.

Peppermint oil creates a cooling sensation on the skin reducing burning, stinging, and itching sensations caused by bites or stings.

Rosemary oil is another choice for bug bite pain relief, it can help prevent infection and has potent anti-inflammatory qualities.

Lavender oil is a popular essential oil and a favorite for treating bug bites. It has soothing properties and it can also be pain-relieving.

Tea Tree oil is amazing at preventing bug bites as well as treating bites that may have slipped in.

I visit Belize once or twice a year and stay for more than 30 days on each visit. I stay in Placencia Village on the peninsula. The noseeums, doctor flies and other bugs are a common nuisance. This spray has helped me fend off many bugs and relieve the itching of existing bites. During high bite times, sunrise, sunset and after it rains, locals have also used my spray in preference to chemical sprays.
