Skydiving is an experience unlike any other, and I finally worked up the courage to take the leap. In this post, I share my thrilling experience and offer insight into what it takes to conquer your fear and take the plunge.
I left the above GoDaddy Website Builder default text to say the following:
In college I was Secretary of the Sky Diving Club. During that time I completed over 40 jumps and it wasn't courage I needed it was the thrill. That being said, the second jump was more heart pounding than the first jump. The first jump was damped by curiosity and the sensation of the experience. The second jump was full fear, because all the training, all the potential problems and all the what if's became forefront in my mind. I did three jumps my first day and the last one was simply fun. I returned the next weekend for three more jumps and the weekend after that for another three jumps. I was asked if I wanted to be club Secretary, I said yes, and spent the weekends that summer sky diving.
By the way, my uncle was a sky diver in the army. So, when I told my parents that I had taken up sky diving, they were more concerned with the potential cost to them rather than the safety of the sport.
Consider this to meditate on: Thrill maybe courage in disguise.
Addictive.
